Flash in the Can: Day 0 (Get A Job Event)
I’ve got my ticket, I’m heading downtown, and I’m 30 minutes early to the event.
So I grab my lunchbox (that is awesome by the way, FITC swag came in a LUNCHBOX this year!) and read through some of the flyers/ads in the box.
I read about a few of the possible job opportunities, and checked out some of the featured talent as well.
I met Jacoub Bondre from Grip Limited in Toronto. Very awesome guy, and let me chat with him for a little bit.
Grip is an advertising agency that does everything. I mean EVERYTHING. (Did I mention the studio has an ORANGE SLIDE and a fireman’s pole?)
Audio/Video/Packaging/Communication/Web/TV Spots/ you name it! They’ve done it all!
I’m really hopeful in seeing them in the future.

I also talked to Henderson Bas. I've seen their studio before through the Fall Studio Tour held by the amazing and incredibly nice Tim Willison of Oddly Studios (where I am currently interning).
They always have interesting clients, and very friendly people. They wouldn’t have the link www.theniceagency.com if they weren’t. You can have dogs at the office too! They believe in a work hard, play hard kind of environment.

I also talked to two places called Fun Com/Hit Grab/and DHX Interactive. They’re gaming studios that had a lot of interesting and inspiring ideas.
Well, I’ve got my schedule planned out already for the weekend, time to start packing (I move into my new apartment on the 1st, oh boy…)
See you next time!
DAY 1 is next!
